Mrs. Hernandez and Mrs. Schuster will be coaching our upper grade track team again this year. All interested upper grade students are invited to participate in the practices during the recess portion of lunch on Tuesdays. This Tuesday’s practice will be for all interested fourth graders. The following Tuesday will be for fifth graders, and sixth graders will have their first practice the Tuesday following break. There is a small schedule of practices posted in the office window so students can be prepared with athletic shoes on their grade level practice date. Practices introduce students to all the different running, jumping, and throwing events over the coming months. In the spring, our Sycamore Track Team (those who have chosen to faithfully practice) will be a part of the Annual Vista Track Meet in the spring.
