🌍💚 Claremont Unified School District Celebrates Dual Honors in Sustainability! 🌍💚 We are thrilled to announce that the Claremont Unified School District has been recognized as a 2024 Green Ribbon Schools Green Achiever! Only five educational institutions receive this award each year. This esteemed state award highlights our dedicated efforts toward innovative and effective environmental practices, including our robust recycling initiatives, energy-saving measures, and vibrant school gardens that enhance both education and sustainability. Building on our state-level accolade, we are equally proud to share that CUSD has also achieved national recognition as a 2024 U.S. Department of Education Green Ribbon School District Sustainability Awardee. This significant honor acknowledges our district-wide commitment to sustainability, focusing on reducing environmental impacts, improving health and wellness, and delivering exemplary environmental education. Spring Break is here! From April 1 to 5, all Claremont Unified School District schools will be on break, providing students with a well-deserved recess. Our District Office will remain open to the public April 1-4 and closed on April 5. We wish our students a restful and enjoyable Spring Break and look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday, April 8.

Condit Elementary will be hosting Guest Speaker: Lori Getz, Cyber Education Specialist on digital safety. Join us on Wednesday, November 8 at 6:00pm. This event is open to all CUSD families and childcare will be provided for this event.

A growing body of research reveals the prevalence of chronic absence and its critical role in student achievement. This research also shows that chronic absence can be addressed when school districts, communities, and policymakers work together to monitor the problem and implement solutions that target the underlying causes. Tickets for our In-N-Out fundraiser on October 17th are available to purchase in the school office! Cash or checks accepted. Tickets are $5 each and include a burger or a grilled cheese, chips, and a drink. The truck will start cooking up burgers at 5:00 pm, can't wait to see you there!

Welcome to Sycamore! New students and their families are invited to meet staff and students for a welcome tour on Wednesday, August 23 from 9:00AM to 9:30AM. Kindergarteners will attend one of our special, Kindergarten Play-Based Tours that same day. Kindergarten families should check their email for the time assigned for their child.
